Welcome to the home page of the New Zealand Trainers’ Association, representing New Zealand licensed thoroughbred trainers.

The NZTA is an incorporated society that represents the interests of the three categories of trainers licensed by the gallop code’s governing body, New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing: ‘Class A’ Public Trainer licence-holders; ‘Class B’ Permit to Train licence-holders; and ‘Class C’ Owner-trainer licence-holders.

The NZTA is largely self-supporting, with annual member subscriptions providing its main income stream. Besides that it receives valuable support from two strategic partners, long standing sponsor Dunstan Horsefeeds – renowned as a locally-based manufacturer of a wide range of equine nutritional needs - and New Zealand Bloodstock Insurance, a subsidiary of the country’s premier bloodstock sales and service company, New Zealand Bloodstock Ltd.
