NZTR ABANDONMENT AND BARRIER POLICY
BARRIER CERTIFICATION POLICY NZTR has finalised the revision of the barrier certification process to minimise the delays to the race start times caused by badly behaved horses. The new Barrier Certification Policy is attached. The revised Barrier Certification Policy sets out the standards which must be met for a horse to be issued with a barrier certificate and for the re-issue of a barrier certificate to a horse on which an embargo has been placed. RACEMEETING ABANDONMENT POLICY Following completion of the consultation process, NZTR has finalised the revision of the Racemeeting Abandonment Policy. The new Racemeeting Abandonment Policy is attached. The policy sets out the race meeting Track Safety Review (‘TSR’) processes to be followed when concerns are identified or raised regarding the safety of a track surface prior to or on the day of racing. These processes include the race meeting, or any individual race being delayed, cancelled, or abandoned because of an unsafe track surface.
